Extended Forms - Experiments in Everyday Carry

I'm only selling 22 of these. Once they're gone, they're gone forever.

Story

I designed this product while in search of the perfect EDC daypack. My goal was to create a simple, ultralight, comfortable daypack that is large enough to use a minimalist overnight bag, but small enough to carry to the park or a festival.

The bag features a dedicated laptop pocket, a large 18L main compartment, and an accessories pocket for keys, sunglasses, and other small essentials.

The main compartment is built for customization with a large velcro panel and discrete webbing loops that allow you to add organization when you need it without sacrificing versatility.

The ergonomic suspensions system is designed to conform comfortably to your back instead of forcing your back to conform to a rigid laptop.

Why does it have two handles? One's for hanging, the other's for holding. I've added a removable bungee cord so you have a place to stow your jacket when the temperature rises. Front and bottom compression straps can keep everything in place or give you easy access to your gear. The stretch mesh pockets on either side are big enough to fit a bottle of wine(or, you know, water) even when the bag is bursting at the seams.

Fabric

Let's be honest, the fabric is the real star of the show here. This bag is constructed of a Dyneema laminate, one of the most high tech fabrics on earth. Dyneema is 30% lighter than traditional nylon or polyester and 45% lighter than aramid. It's not just ultralight, it's also 15x stronger than steel.

Here's the thing, this isn't like the fabric you're used to. It's actually two materials glued together. The foundation is a flexible sheet of nonwoven Dyneema fibers that are UV and water resistant. These fibers are so strong that the bag is virtually tear and puncture proof.

A thin sheet of 150D polyester fabric is layered on top of the Dyneema for added strength and a more classic look. Combined, the material is almost paper like. Over time the fabric will wrinkle and develop a patina that rivals leather.
